Disease is not a disorder of the mind or of the body. It is neither useful nor meaningful to separate disease into discrete categories of mental or physical suffering. Rather, disease is a disorder of the bodymind. All disease involves both mental and physical suffering.
Mind and body are not in any useful sense separate compartments. Rather, they are dimensions of the same whole.
